WASHINGTON, DC – FWD.us President Todd Schulte released the following statement today on Judge John Bates’ ruling to restart the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program:

Today, Judge Bates sent a clear message once and for all that the Trump administration’s attempt to cancel DACA is unlawful. Three separate federal courts have reached that conclusion. We call on the administration to stop trying to defend the cancelation of DACA, officially reinstate the program, and support legislation that provides permanent protections for DACA recipients. The average DACA recipient came to this country at the age of 6 has lived in this country for over 20 years. These young Americans should be able to plan their lives and continue their tremendous contributions to America rather being forced to live in uncertainty from court decision to court decision.
